Music of the stylish flick ‘Billa’ starring Prabhas and Anushka was launched on 18th March at Silpa Kala Vedika, Hyderabad. Directed by Meher Ramesh, Narendra and Prabhod have produced the film on Gopi Krishna Movies.

The event was star studded with a big list of celebrity attendees including Dasari Narayana Rao, Krishnam Raju, Rajamouli, VV Vinayak, Allu Arjun, Gopichand and others.

First copy of the audio was released by Dasari Narayana Rao and Krishnam Raju became the recipient.

Addressing the guests Dasari Narayana Rao said, “Krishnam Raju’s Gopi Krishna Movies has high production value and earlier it has made many big budget films like ‘Tandra Paparayudu’ that might have cost about 50 cores if made in the present. Prabhas is an able successor to Krishnam Raju and I feel he will live up to the expectations.”

Krishnam Raju was elated about the new venture after a gap and said, “We have made a comeback after fifteen years to production on our home banner. Keeping on par with our earlier films, we wanted to present appealing movies for the viewers. Director Meher Ramesh rendered this theme that featured Prabhas in a stylishly distinct role. We produced this project without compromising on quality. Four days back, I had the chance to watch sequences filmed featuring Prabhas, at the dubbing studio and now I am convinced that I can retire from films with this magnum opus.”

Rajamouli making his speech said, “The movie has been designed very slick and stylish. After watching the promos, I felt that we don’t lack in the South for stylish stars and we do have such people on par with the Bollywood heroes.”

Allu Arjun said, “Besides my family stars, Prabhas is my most favourite hero. He is a very nice person at heart, like 6 feet of pure gold from tip-to-toe. The main attraction that grabs attention is him sharing screen space with his uncle (father’s elder brother) for the first time and I am sure this will be a successful venture.”

“The trailer speaks for itself showcasing the quality rendered by the director. Similarly, the music composed by Mani Sharma is absolutely marvelous,” said Gopichand.

Murali Mohan recalling his old times said, “Krishnam Raju has made many memorable films on his banner. ‘Amara Deepam’ was one of them in which I played his brother. When I first glanced at Prabhas’s pictures, I felt will make a good actor.”

Acknowledging the praises showered upon him, Prabhas said, “I am feeling very proud to have shared screen with my uncle. It was a challenging task while working with him. I thank the technical team, who worked with utmost dedication. Hope, the viewers will appreciate our work and make it a hit.”

Mani Sharma has composed the music. Lahari will market the music on to stands by 20th March. ‘Billa’ is slated to hit the screens in April.
